Share important quotes to start a conversation
The best way to start a conversation with your stakeholders is by bringing attention to customer findings where your team work every day. In Dovetail, highlights can be shared across channels in Teams and Slack to make it easier for stakeholders to consume data and turn user feedback into action items.- If you’ve found a highlight from search, hover over the card and select
Share
. From there, the share dialog will appear where you canCopy link to highlight
and paste in Slack or Teams. Make sure your Dovetail account is connected to ensure a successful embed in Slack or Teams.
- If you’ve found an insight with a collection of highlights compiled into a reel, you can also share and embed these in Slack or Teams. To do this, hover over the reel, select
Copy link to reel
and paste the link into your chosen tool.
Build a case with evidence from your customers
Create compelling reports or presentations that bring together quantitative data from other tools and qualitative data from Dovetail to tell powerful stories that communicate context behind the numbers. For designers, this may look like evidence that supports a design decision and for product managers, what initiatives you are interested in prioritizing for the next quarter. For reports created in Notion or Confluence- If you’ve found a highlight from search, hover over the card and select
Share
. From there, you can paste the link into Notion or Confluence. This will preview a live embed of the highlight for anyone to watch or listen to.
- If you’ve found an insight with a collection of highlights compiled into a reel, you can also share and embed these in Notion or Confluence. To do this, hover over the reel, select
Copy link to reel
and paste the link into your chosen tool.
- If you’ve found a highlight from search, open the highlight and click onto the text. From there, navigate to

and selectDownload highlight
. The video or audio file will be then ready to upload into Google Slides, Powerpoint, or Canva.
Keep a pulse on the latest from your customers
With our enhanced Slack and Teams integrations, you can schedule curated digests that capture the most important updates you want to keep track of. These can be delivered to you in Slack or Teams through a text-based update or, more an engaging audio update.- To schedule a digest, first check if your team have connected the integration. If this is the case, configure a regular digest with the slash comment
/digest
. - From there, select which projects you would like to keep up-to-date with and what channels it should send to. You can also select how often the digest should be sent and when it should be delivered.
